The Chinese Pastoral Council (CPC) of the Archdiocese of Toronto is a Council of Chinese-speaking priests, religious Sisters and Brothers and Deacons who work for the Chinese-speaking Catholics in the four Chinese-speaking parishes and a mission, namely Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Chinese Martyrs Catholic Church, St. Agnes Kuoying Tsao Catholic Church, Saviour Of The World Chinese Catholic Church and the newly established Sacred Heart Chinese Catholic Mission.

Other Chinese-speaking priests, religious Sisters and Brothers and Deacons who do not work for the Chinese-speaking Catholics but who reside in the Archdiocese of Toronto are strongly encouraged to register with the Council and to participate fully in the meetings of the Council.

The Chairperson of the CPC would invite lay Chinese-speaking Catholic Organizations to participate in the General Assembly. From time to time, the Chancellor of Spiritual Affairs, the Chancellor of Temporal Affairs as well as department Heads of the many ministries in the Archdiocesan Pastoral Centre are invited to the General Assembly to dialogue on matters of concern for both the Chinese Catholic community and the Archdiocese.

The CPC is one of many ethnic Councils in regular dialogue with the Episcopal Vicar for Ethnic Communities. The Chairpersons of the Ethnic Councils meet with the Vicar and discuss the state of their ethnic communities as well as improving the relationship and communication with the Archdiocese.

The CPC is the voice of the Chinese-speaking Catholic Community in the Archdiocese of Toronto. The Chairperson of the CPC is in regular dialogue with the Ethnic Bishop on issues rising out from our internal General Assembly to relational and pastoral issues within the Archdiocese.

All these meetings, dialogue and assemblies help to strengthen the voice of the Chinese-speaking Catholic Community in the Archdiocese of Toronto. They further the growth and maturity of the community. It ushers in a new era of open dialogue and transparency, a strengthened relationship and mutual respect between the Chinese-speaking Catholic Community and the Archdiocese of Toronto.

Fountain of Love and Life

Fountain of Love and Life (FLL) is a Catholic multi-media evangelization ministry. Our ministry was founded in 2004 by a group of Chinese Catholics in Toronto with the goal of evangelizing the Chinese communities in Canada through different media. FLL is now officially recognized as a ministry under the Toronto Chinese Pastoral Council (CPC). FLL is also a registered charity in Canada.

Our work now includes TV and radio productions, music production, publications, evangelization events, hotline, web and social media content, etc. Apart from a few staff members, FLL is composed of over 300 volunteers. Since 2004, FLL has been raising its own funds for evangelization work and has been operating independently. Apart from Toronto, our volunteer base has extended to Vancouver, Hong Kong, and a few major North American cities. Vancouver volunteers have begun television and radio production.
